Accessibility

We are working to make our festival as accessible as possible, and we welcome your suggestions for accessibility features we can add.

Getting to and from the festival
Our shuttle buses from Merritt College are NOT wheelchair accessible. Parking for vehicles with DP Placards or Plates is available by reservation inside the park, adjacent to the Festival entrance at Canyon Meadow. Reservations must be made by September 13th. For questions and reservations contact: zachpine@gmail.com.

Wheelchair accessibility at the festival
IMG_2171Most festival activities are along or adjacent to the paved Stream Trail, but some activities occur further away in the meadow and forest areas on uneven lawns and soil. For accessibility information about the Stream Trail, please visit:http://www.accessnca.org/recreation/site.php?site=100. The East Bay Regional Park District web page for Redwood Regional Park [http://www.ebparks.org/parks/redwood#access_info ] has a link to Trail Accessibility Reports. There is one wheelchair accessible restroom near the festival entrance in Canyon Meadow; that restroom, as well as routes for easiest access to art areas off the main Stream Trail, are shown on our printed festival map.

Accessibility of the festival offerings
The vast array of artistic offerings at the festival means that there are plenty of opportunities for engagement for all people. Not all offerings will be accessible to everyone, but we encourage all of our festival artists to maximize inclusiveness, and we offer them a free accessibility workshop in advance of the festival to help them in their efforts.
